Dr. Suraj Sharma is a staff gastroenterologist at Brant Community Health System and Head of Service for the BCHS Division of Gastroenterology. He completed his MD, internal medicine residency, and gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Toronto, followed by advanced hepatology training at Toronto Western Hospital and an advanced clinical nutrition fellowship and Master of Public Health Sciences at the University of Chicago.

He serves as Regional Lead for the Hamilton-Niagara-Haldimand-Brant colorectal screening program (Cancer Care Ontario), Chair of the CPSO Out-of-Hospital Premises Inspection Committee, and a board member of the Royal College Gastroenterology Examination Committee.
