Work-up of Incidentally Identified Liver Lesions
Learning objectives:
- Apply a practical, context-based approach to the work-up of focal liver lesions (cirrhotic vs non-cirrhotic, incidental vs symptomatic)
- Recognize key imaging features that distinguish common benign and malignant liver lesions
- Identify when to reassure, follow, biopsy, or refer based on guideline-informed management pathways

Dr. Paz Garcia is an abdominal radiologist and interventional radiologist at London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) and an Assistant Professor at Western University. She completed her medical training and radiology residency in Chile before pursuing advanced subspecialty training in Canada. Dr. Garcia completed a fellowship in Interventional Radiology at McGill University, followed by a fellowship in Abdominal Imaging at the Joint Department of Medical Imaging (JDMI), University of Toronto.
Her clinical practice focuses on hepatobiliary and oncologic imaging, as well as image-guided interventions. Dr. Garcia is actively involved in multidisciplinary care and education, with a particular interest in optimizing imaging pathways and interventional management of abdominal disease.
